Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 6:39 PM CST Feb. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight CST
tonight...

* short term trends... light to moderate snow will persist into
the evening hours. Visibilities will be relatively poor with
icy, snow-covered roads expected into the evening hours.

* Total snow accumulations... 1 to 2 inches.

* Winds/visibility... north winds at 15 to 25 mph are expected
with gusts over 30 mph from time to time. Visibilities below
one mile are expected with brief periods where visibilities
may drop below one quarter of a mile, mainly in rural areas.

* Impacts... roadways may initially develop minor icing and then
become snow covered as sunset approaches. The snow and blowing
snow will reduce visibility creating hazardous travel
conditions. Slow down during the evening commute and travel
cautiously.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
roads may become slick with visibilities then limited due to
strong winds blowing snow. Use caution when traveling.
