... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Thursday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of west central Iowa and northeast Nebraska,
including the following areas, in west central Iowa, Monona.
In northeast Nebraska, Cedar, Knox, Thurston, and Wayne.

* Through Thursday morning

* a slow moving storm system will bring another round of rain and
thunderstorms to parts of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa
tonight.

* Recent rains have saturated soils in some areas and an
additional 1 to 2 inches of rain in spots could lead to flash
flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
