... Significant weather advisory for Fayette... southwestern
Rockdale... Clayton... eastern Coweta... western Spalding... western
Newton... northern Pike and Henry counties until 530 PM EDT...

At 450 PM EDT... strong thunderstorms extended from Stockbridge to
near Peachtree City, moving east at 15 mph.

Hazard... 40 mph wind, up to dime sized hail, frequent lightning
           and heavy rain.

Impact... expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
           light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
           street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Some locations in the path of these storms include
Griffin, McDonough, Fayetteville, Jonesboro, Peachtree City,
Stockbridge, Forest Park, Riverdale, Hampton, Tyrone, Morrow,
Lovejoy, Senoia, Lake City, Brooks, Williamson, Sharpsburg, Turin,
Woolsey and Sunny Side.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder... you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.
