Issued: 3:27 AM EST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until 600 am EST for Paulding...
Catoosa... Haralson... Murray... Floyd... Whitfield... Walker... Gordon...
Polk... Chattooga... Dade and Bartow counties...

At 321 am EST, radar and rain gauge data indicates that two to
nearly four inches of rain fell across much of this area through
Sunday evening and into early this Monday morning.

Although only occasional light to moderate rain is expected over the
next few hours and additional rainfall amounts will remain light in
the warned area, many small to medium sized creeks and streams will
remain near or a bit over bankfull through the early morning hours.
Standing water is also likely in low-lying areas, including on some
roadways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
