... Fire danger statement in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening...

High pressure will build into the area today and dry air will
prevail across the region. Relative humidity values are expected
to fall into the 20 to 25 percent range across southeast Georgia
and southeast South Carolina for several hours this afternoon.
Westerly winds will also become breezy, with frequent gusts into
the 20 to 25 mph range this afternoon. Due to the combination of
these conditions and the presence of dry fuels, an elevated fire
danger can be expected across southeast Georgia and southeast
South Carolina.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn. If you do, you are advised to use extreme caution.
