... Freeze warning remains in effect from 11 PM this evening to
8 am EST Friday...

* temperatures... mid 20s to around 30.

* Timing... generally after 11 PM tonight through 8 am Friday
morning.

* Impacts... freezing temperatures could kill sensitive
vegetation and damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

* Locations... north and central Georgia.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

late tonight and Friday morning...

* locations... north and central Georgia

* hazard types... refreezing of liquid water, also known as black
ice.

* Timing... from 10 PM EST this evening through 10 am EST Friday
morning.

* Impacts... roads and bridges may become slick making travel
hazardous. Wet surfaces or runoff from recent heavy rainfall may
freeze as temperatures drop below freezing. Areas that will be
especially susceptible to black ice are elevated roadways, off
ramps, shaded areas, areas prone to runoff of water and
secondary roads.
