Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 2:40 PM EST Feb. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Fire danger statement in effect until 6 PM EST this evening...

Very dry conditions continue across northeast Georgia today.
Temperatures warming into the upper 50s and lower 60s combined
with a very dry airmass will allow relative humidity values below
20 percent for the remaining daylight hours. While winds will
remain light and somewhat variable, an occasional gust of 10 mph
could occur. While fuels will be marginally dry, the combination
of winds and low relative humidity have raised fire danger.

Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn today. If you do burn, use caution since fires can
quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
