Watches & Warnings

Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 4:04 AM EST Feb. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am EST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Miami has expanded the dense fog
advisory into coastal Broward County also, which is in effect
until 9 am EST this morning.

* Visibility... areas within the advisory area will see
visibilities down to 1/4 of a mile or less.

* Impacts... these visibilities will create dangerous driving
conditions in some of the roadways this morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Special Statement
Issued: 2:34 AM EST Feb. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Patchy dense fog developing across portions of South Florida...

Observations across the area as well as satellite images indicate
low level clouds with embedded fog are developing across portions
of South Florida at this time particularly across portions of
Broward and Miami Dade counties and west across The Everglades
and north towards the Lake Okeechobee region including the Naples
area. Embedded within the fog there are isolated patches with
visibilities less than 1/2 a mile. Motorists are advised to
exercise caution this morning. The fog and low level clouds should
dissipate within an hour or two after sunrise.

Dense fog advisory might become necessary later this morning if
conditions worsen.
