Issued: 8:09 PM EDT Jun. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a

* flood advisory for...
west central Volusia County in east central Florida...

* until 930 PM EDT

* at 806 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to three inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
north Deltona, south Deland, Orange City, Lake Helen and
Cassadaga.

Additional rainfall of up to one inch is expected over the area.
This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
