* Until Saturday afternoon.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Impact: at 21.0 feet: ocheessee Landing in Calhoun County is
flooded, restricting access to the boat ramp and parking area.
Kennedy creek at Forest Road 115 in Liberty County floods.

... Wind Advisory in effect until 4 PM EST /3 PM CST/ this
afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Wind
Advisory... which is in effect until 4 PM EST /3 PM CST/ this
afternoon.

* Winds... west northwest 25 to 30 mph with occasional gusts to 35
mph through mid afternoon.

* Impacts... minor damage to trees, power lines, and property are
possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.





Gale Warning, Small Craft Advisory

... Gale Warning remains in effect until 1 PM EST this afternoon...

... Small Craft Advisory is in effect from 1 PM EST this afternoon
until 7 am EST Tuesday...

* winds... west 30 knots with gusts to 40 knots... becoming
northwest 20 to 25 knots with gusts to 30 knots late this
afternoon.

* Waves/seas... 10 to 15 feet with occasional seas up to 17 feet
offshore.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

We will be conducting two storm surveys today (mon. 1/23/2017).
The first will survey damage through Thomas, Brooks, Cook, and
Berrien counties in Georgia. The second will survey damage through
Dougherty, Worth, and possibly Turner counties in Georgia.
Additional surveys are expected tomorrow (tue. 1/24/2017), but
formal plans have not been finalized at this time.
