... Significant weather advisory for northeastern Douglas... western
Arapahoe... south central Denver and south Central Adams counties
until 200 PM MDT...

At 115 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Centennial, or 10 miles southeast of Denver, moving northeast at 20
mph.

Dime size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
southern Denver, Aurora, Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Parker,
northeastern Littleton, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Lone Tree,
Surrey Ridge, Arapahoe Park, Buckley AFB, Beverly Hills, Watkins,
Sedalia and The Pinery.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Prepare for sudden gusty outflow winds. Secure loose objects and
move to a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.


A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM MDT for
northeastern and east central Colorado.
