The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
northern Prowers County in southeastern Colorado...
southeastern Kiowa County in southeastern Colorado...
northeastern Bent County in southeastern Colorado...

* until 915 PM MDT

* at 622 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Between one and two inches of rain may have
already fallen with additional heavy rain anticipated.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lamar, Granada, Wiley, Hartman, neeoshe Reservoir, McClave,
Bristol, Sweetwater Reservoir, Chivington, Brandon, Neegronda
Reservoir and Queens Reservoir.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
