Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 10:05 PM MDT Jul. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

... The urban and small stream flood advisory remains in effect until
1115 PM MDT for southwestern Arapahoe and southwestern Denver
counties...

At 1003 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated another storm with heavy
rain moving into the southern portions of the Denver Metro area,
including Littleton, Cherry Hills Village, and Greenwood Village.
Between 0.75 and 1.2 inches of rain fell with the first storm, and
this storm will likely produce another 0.5 to 1 inch of rain. This
will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
southern Denver, southwestern Aurora, Centennial, Littleton,
Englewood, Greenwood Village, Sheridan and Buckley AFB.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
