Freeze Watch
Issued: 4:23 AM MDT Apr. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Freeze watch in effect from late tonight through Friday
morning...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a
freeze watch, which is in effect from late tonight through Friday
morning.

* Locations include... Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, Montrose,
   Hotchkiss, and Delta.

* Temperatures... in the upper 20s and lower 30s.

* Timing... freezing temperatures become possible after midnight
and more probable toward sunrise Friday.

* Impacts... budding vegetation may be negatively impacted should
temperatures drop below critical thresholds. In addition, small
exposed water lines, like those associated with swamp coolers,
could freeze.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible.
These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
