Tuesday morning...

* winds and timing... areas of northwest winds 15 to 30 mph with
gusts between 35 and 45 mph on Monday afternoon. Winds are
expected to become north 25 to 40 mph with potential damaging
gusts to 60 mph Monday night into Tuesday morning. Strongest
winds in the Santa Ynez Mountains and adjacent foothills.

* Impacts... winds this strong may down trees and power lines,
causing property damage or power outages. Cross winds can make
driving difficult, especially for drivers of high profile
vehicles and vehicles towing trailers. The strong winds will
likely impact travel across portions of highways 101 and 154.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high wind watch means that conditions are favorable for
potentially damaging winds of 58 mph or greater. Be prepared to
secure all loose outdoor furniture in advance of the onset of
strong winds. Monitor the latest forecasts on NOAA Weather Radio
or your favorite media source.
