Monday...

* temperature... highs will mostly be in the 80s to mid 90s near
the coast with 90s to 105 for inland areas.

* Location... the entire San Francisco Bay area and entire
Monterey Bay area.

* Timing... hottest days are expected to be Sunday and Monday. A
cooling trend is forecast from Tuesday through the end of the
week.

* Impacts... the heat will result in elevated health risks for
those who are sensitive to heat.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The hot temperatures will create a situation in which
heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an
air-conditioned room... stay out of the sun... and check up on
relatives and neighbors. Never leave kids or pets in vehicles as
temperatures can quickly reach very dangerous levels.
