... Wind Advisory now in effect until 2 PM PST Saturday...

* winds and timing... northeast winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 50
mph are expected through early Saturday afternoon... then winds
will slowly diminish.

* Impacts... gusty winds will make driving difficult... especially
for drivers of high profile vehicles. Winds this strong can
cause downed trees and powerlines as well as power outages.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

When driving... use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty
cross winds.

... Red flag warning remains in effect from noon today to 6 PM PST
Saturday for wind and low relative humidity for the Ventura
valleys and coasts as well as the San Fernando Valley...

* winds... northeast winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph
through Saturday afternoon. Isolated gusts to 60 mph in the
hills. Strongest this afternoon and evening.

* Relative humidity... 8 to 15 percent... lowest on Saturday.

* Impacts... if fire ignition occurs... conditions may be
favorable for extreme fire behavior which would threaten life
and property. Use extra caution with potential ignition
sources.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
create extreme fire behavior. Please advise the appropriate
officials or fire crews in the field of this red flag warning.
