... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM PST Saturday...

* winds... southwest to west 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph
and locally 60 mph.

* Timing... through Saturday morning... with strongest winds tonight.

* Location... from the mountain crests east and north to the
deserts... with strongest winds on Desert Mountain slopes and
below passes and canyons.

* Impacts... driving will be dangerous for high-profile vehicles.
Motorists should also be alert for debris.

* Outlook... winds will gradually decrease Saturday... but strong
winds are expected again late Sunday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Issued: 7:37 PM PST Jan. 20, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Gale Warning remains in effect until 4 PM PST Saturday...

* winds... southwest to west winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts to 35 kt. Winds
will diminish quickly Saturday afternoon.

* Waves/seas... combined seas 12 to 18 feet tonight and
Saturday... then seas lowering to 8 to 13 feet by Saturday night.

* Outlook... another period of strong winds and large seas Sunday
through Monday... with winds possibly reaching gale force late
Sunday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
