Watches & Warnings

Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 3:44 AM PDT Sep. 25, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 3 PM PDT Monday for
strong gusty winds and low humidities...

* winds... areas of northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35
mph... except 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 mph below the Cajon
Pass... and through and along the Santa Ana Mountains and
foothills this morning and Monday morning.

* Humidity... lowest of 6 to 12 percent with poor overnight
recovery.

* Outlook... gradual cooling with higher humidities and weaker
winds Tuesday into Wednesday.

* Impacts... any fires that start may exhibit extreme fire
behavior and spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not
recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and heat will contribute
to extreme fire behavior.
