The Flood Warning continues for
the Blackwater river near Baker
* until Saturday evening.
* At 10 am Friday the stage was 14.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11 feet.
* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by tomorrow afternoon.
* At 9.5 feet... Kennedy and Peaden bridges are flooded upstream.
* At 11 feet... minor flooding of secondary roads and lowlands from around
Baker to downstream of Baker.
* At 14 feet... flooding of East Park in Baker.

... A line of strong thunderstorms will affect the following
counties... Butler... northeastern Monroe... Crenshaw... southeastern
Clarke... southeastern Wilcox... central Conecuh and northern Covington
counties until 830 PM CDT...

At 703 PM CDT, the strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near shorter to 9 miles west of Frisco City, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Greenville, Monroeville, Evergreen, Luverne, Peterman, Georgiana,
Brantley, McKenzie, Rutledge, Beatrice, Dozier, Glenwood, Pine Apple,
Petrey, Highland Home and Lapine.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
