Flood Warning
Issued: 10:50 AM CDT Apr. 18, 2019 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Tombigbee river near LeRoy
* until further notice.
* At 10 am Thursday the stage was 26.7 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 28.1 feet by Saturday morning then
begin falling.
* At 30 feet... roads leading into the powersouth Power Plant will begin to
flood, along with roads along the east side of the river.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Tombigbee river near Coffeeville dam
* until further notice.
* At 10 am Thursday the stage was 34.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 29 feet.
* The river will continue rising to near 36.5 feet by early Saturday morning
then begin falling.
* At 40 feet... widespread flooding of Timber and pastureland. Portions of
State Highway 114 east of the river becomes covered by water. Cabins on Old
Ferry Road flood.

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to 3 am CDT
Friday.

* Timing... this afternoon through late tonight.

* Winds... southerly winds rising to 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35
mph.

* Impacts... loose light weight objects can be blown around.
Driving conditions can be dangerous for high profile vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 25 to 39 mph or frequent
gusts of 30 to 39 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make
driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use
extra caution. The strong winds can also blow around loose light-
weight outdoor objects. Ensure these items are secured.
