... Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow in effect
from 9 PM this evening to 9 am akst Monday...

The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect
from 9 PM this evening to 9 am akst Monday.

* Snow... 6 to 10 inches.

* Visibility... one half mile or less at times.

* Wind... north to west wind 10 to 25 mph. Gusts 35 to 45 mph near
Whittier and Seward.

* Timing... snow will increase in intensity this evening. Winds
will also strengthen this evening... especially in Seward and
Whittier where blowing snow and low visibilities will be the
worst. Snow will taper off by Monday morning with some gusty
wind lingering through the day.

* Impacts... a Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow
means that visibilities will be limited due to a combination of
falling and blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially
in open areas.
