Issued: 9:29 AM AKST Feb. 25, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning now in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to
noon akst Sunday...

* snow... 6 to 10 inches... heaviest over higher terrain south and
west of Fort Yukon.

* Blowing snow... reducing visibility to one half mile at times
over summits.

* Winds... southwest to around 25 with gusts to 35 mph over
summits.

* Timing... snow will develop this afternoon. Snow will be heavy
at times Saturday evening into early Sunday before tapering off
late Sunday morning. Winds will increase and low visibility in
blowing snow will develop Saturday afternoon and persist into
Sunday morning.

* Impacts... visibility may be greatly reduced. Travel and
outdoor activities will be difficult.
