Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 3:20 AM AKST Feb. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 am this morning
to 3 PM akst Saturday...

* what... snow and blowing snow expected. Snow may mix with
freezing rain at times tonight and Saturday. Travel will be very
difficult to impossible. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 11
inches, with localized amounts up to 14 inches, and ice
accumulations of a light glaze are expected.

* Where... southern Seward Peninsula coast.

* When... 6 am today to 3 PM Saturday.

* Additional details... winds gusting as high as 50 mph will cause
areas of blowing and drifting snow reducing the visibility to
near zero at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet
and ice are expected. This will make travel very difficult or
impossible.
