dry weather into next week with warming temperatures.

building high pressure leading to a sunny day across norcal with
temperatures reaching into the 50s in the mountains and 70s in
the valley. As upper level trough drops into the Rocky Mountain
west, tightening pressure gradient has lead to breezy northerly
winds across the valley this afternoon. So far, peak gusts have
been in the 30-35 mph range. Could see a few gusts to 45 mph
across the San Joaquin Valley through the early evening. Wind
Advisory remains in affect for this area. Winds will relax later
this evening. As ridge remains in control, expect 4-5 degrees of
warming on Saturday compared to today's temperatures. Valley highs
should top out in the 80s Saturday into Monday with 50s-60s
across higher elevations. Breezy northerly winds possible each
afternoon/evening, but shouldn't be as gusty as today.

Extended discussion (tuesday through friday)
high pressure will remain over the eastern Pacific through
midweek causing continued warm weather. As the ridge axis moves
over the Pacific northwest on Wednesday, temperatures could reach
to low 90 degrees in parts of the valley Wednesday and Thursday
with 60s-70s in the foothills and mountains. Breezy northerly
winds look to persist through midweek.

Models show a trough breaking down the high pressure on Friday
causing temperatures to cool slightly, around 5 degrees in most
areas. Although this will be a weak system, there is a slight
chance of precipitation on Friday, mainly in parts of Shasta and
Lassen counties, and into Saturday over the high elevation of
the Sierra. Hec

VFR taf sites next 24 hours. Strong north winds continue with
