Caption: No "green flash", but I patiently awoke before sunrise attempting to glimpse this rare event. Despite the lack of a flash, the sunrise is still soothing to experience

According to wiki

"Green flashes and green rays are optical phenomena that occur shortly after sunset or before sunrise,"

Its a refraction effect, and the direction the sun is slowly moving doesn't affect the physics of what is happening

Nice View! Thanks for sharing.

Green flashes happen at sunset, and, even then, are very rarely observable.

About walcek

Photography has always been a hobby since I saved up babysitting and lawn-mowing earnings for my first SLR back in the 70s as a young kid. I like the random, beautiful things that most overlook in today's hectic pace.
