The Dakota Wall

Cuchara, CO (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Geologists from around the world visit this are for its unique features in a relatively small area. This is often mistakenly taken as a dike made from volcanic action. Instead the Dakota Wall is made of sandstone and is a hogback. We hike a trail on the back side of this up to the top and often in to Cuchara.

About visionaire

visionaire

It can't get much better than being outdoors and WU proves it with each photo expressing the individual vision of the experience. I apologize for not commenting more. I appreciate those who do. Right now, I am more inclined to not spend so much time on the computer and more on experiences. Thank you to all who view my photos and to the Approvers for recognizing some of them. You all are too kind.Just an on the side note: I like the change from the numerical ratings to the "like" system. Some of us thrive on competition, others on sharing. Neither is right or wrong, but for me it is a more comfortable approach. Thank you.
