The city you are looking at it Mt. Shasta City and part of a small town called Weed, taken from Lake Helen camp (10,400 ft). I had to set the camera down in the snow and wait in 20 degree weather, pretty exciting

I love the perspective on this, and not just because it's boiling hot here, and I dearly want to reach out and pat that snow! Really, the little hills and valleys of crystalline snow add a lot to the picture's story; they look like little mountains themselves. Very cool!
