Thanks for the comment Mary Ann. In Georgia we call cotton Georgia snow. It's funny when you hold a cotton plant - feel the cotton - and know it's what you're wearing. It's completely different than the final product!

I love cotton! I try to wear and use as much 100% cotton as I can. It is so amazing that it starts out looking like that unusual plant, isn't it?

Nice photo, and I like the contrast in color too!

Wow - what to say... I'm an architect who loves art of all kinds. I thought I was really good at photography until I started posting on the Weather Underground. I began scrolling through pictures and looking at what others have to share. Every day I'm blown away by the beauty captured along with how different people capture the world through a lens.I grew up in a family that raced sailboats. When I was young all the kids spent the days exploring shorelines, jetties, and inlets. At ten I started racing and with that grew a love and respect for the sea and nature. I enjoy capturing images that remind me on a daily basis of the beauty of life; those things that inspire me.Sam
