Looked bad here too and at one point we thought we would get something, but just a few sprinkles and a lot of dark sky north. Congrats on an excellent weather photo and 10 from a couple hours east of you.

Quoting Bruzote:
I like the bird caught in the act of a 90-degree bank (in the upper right of the photo). The aggressive flight corresponds to the state of weather. Do you recall the type of bird? Also, is there a wall cloud forming (look below the bird)?

Yes, there is the beginnings of a wall cloud and the bird I believe is a red winged blackbird.

About ruralartist

ruralartist

There's just something about the weather that fascinates me, perhaps its living on the great plains. Our daily lives are influenced by it and living on a land with no mountains, big ravines, waterfalls, trees and such tends to make the sky the star of the show here. Hope you enjoy perusing my images. -Kim
