Mara, are you're eastern bluebirds much different than these? this is a mated pair of western bluebirds. what we call an edge species because they are often found in the border areas of a deciduous forest.

Our bluebirds -- called "Eastern," but we're in the Midwest! -- are field birds, and their birdboxes should be placed along the edge of the fields, facing the field. My bluebird boxes are on fenceposts! - Julie in Ohio

About randel52
randel52 Hello ,Just your avid adventurer retired and living in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Only 25 miles outside of Yosemite National Forest.I am the owner of the Peace Valley Ranch in Mariposa California. The beauty of the wildlife and the forest always seems to find me running for a camera. I have a love for adventure and Motorcycles and am usually traveling or out riding one of my motorcycles, when not enjoying the view from my front porch.I really have enjoyed the photography and the people I have met here in the last eight yearsa at Wunderground. It is a wonderful place to share stories and our art.For me each shot is a memory lived and to be able to share it with others brings me so much joy. Thanks for stopping by!! Randel52
