Clearlake, CA (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: This is usually the first one the deer "sample" so it hasn't bloomed much at all this year. I guess I'll have to plant a sacrificial rose next to it next year.

I saw this rose in person last year. With each petal bright red on the inside and white on the outside, it always prompts a second, closer look. The same is true of this photo.

Ahhh it's so beautiful. In my (very limited) experience, red is the most difficult color to 'get right.' You are a master, this is... scrumptious!

I Initially said I don't comment much but I found myself commenting a lot. I was never happy with just saying "Nice shot" "Very nice" "Great shot" etc so I decided to leave the comments to the pros. You all say it so much better. Thank you all for your kind comments and I will continue to view and rate and occasionally add my 2 cents.Mark
