Caption: The 12th century fortress immortalized by Lord Byron in his 1816 poem 'The Prisoner of Chillon'. The highlight of our visit here was the proposal of one of our tour members to his girlfriend in the castle courtyard! Can you think of anything more romantic?

Ahhh, romance! What a moment that must have been
for that couple, in front of this beautiful old
castle! This old building has seen many things
in all those hundreds of years!
