Interesting series, Sharon! Brings to mind two articles I read in the newspaper a few years ago. One was of some idjit who shot and killed a 50-pound pet fawn, thinking it was legitimate game; the other was of a hunter who shot and killed a woman wearing a red sweater who had walked out to her mailbox. "Thought she was a deer," was his only excuse.
