My son tried a bite off the tip just to see how hot it was. He said it got hotter with every breath as he tried several things to dull the burn.

They look very similar to the ones I grow, Charlotte, a little longer than mine. Will post some when they get riper; right now they're posted under "Pick a Peck" (of purple peppers).
