Great shot - Bring your sweaters out as looks
like cooler weather has arrived in your area.
Congratulations on AC!
Make that winter coats if it is 26 degrees at 9:30 am.

Thank you Tanya and MavricaMaiden. We can have snowfall on these mountains any and every month of the year. This time I think it may linger...

Thanks Drifter50, Linda, Becky, Diti and Carol.

Linda let's not call it winter yet, our leaves still need to turn! Snow can stay on the peaks for awhile.... I hope!

The subtleties of light playing on the mountainside make this image SO powerful. It's almost enough to awaken in my heart, a yearning for the chill of winter. Almost. I am still enjoying monsoon season for now. I give it a 10!

I've lived in Alaska since 1969. I love this wild land. The extremes of the far north shape and affect every living thing. Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
