Now this one looks a bit closer to being a super highway! Wonderful series.
Careful driving these roads. Don't want to hear of any speeding tickets! A state police may have his Radar behind those trees!

WOW..that looks rather scary to drive on. Would be better with snowmobiles...lol. Looks packed down and slippery. Did you have chains on?

Can't believe you haul 80,000 pounds of logs in an 18 wheeler over that - I agree with above-where's my snowmobile.. Congratulations Katy

And where are you going on a dark night? Are not you afraid of wolves? Excellent B & W! Congratulations, Katy!

Thank you friends! Thank you approvers!

I was just messing around for these shots, experimenting with the 'no flash/museum' mode on the camera, I had no idea anyone would even be interested in these shots!

It's a perfectly fine road, I wouldn't hesitate to drive most anything down it, except maybe a low-slung car. There were a few crick crossings that a low car might scrape on...

No cops here Gil, cause there are no bad guys! You couldn't get more speed than 10 mph on this road before you'd hit a tree or a corner!

Tishu no chains, not even 4wd necessary, it's a fine road.

Duane this would be a fine, zippy road to dash and zoom on with a snowmobile!

Heidrun no other traffic, this is a pretty isolated place, no one lives anywhere near and we are quite far off the highway. This is a private logging road, and never gets any use (other than loggers) unless it's moose hunting season.

Wanda there are quite a few wolves in the area (more wolves than people) but I didn't see any, just tracks. Lots of owls and a few caribou too, but I saw nary a one. (I was hoping to though)

Very nice series. Shooting through the windshield? Our curved windshield doesn't give very good shots. Congratts on the "Blue" and 10 from Sw Iowa

Never driven on snow & i know of no one who has used snow chains, it just don't last that long where i live. Super night shot Katy, sometimes it pays to experiment when taking photos! Congrats on AC. On the 18th of this month is the 35th anniversary of one of the worst recorded snowstorms to hit the UK (mainly affecting the counties of Devon, Dorset & Somerset), upto 85cm of level snow fell in places with drifts in other places over 20 feet deep! Here is a pic from the West Somerset Railway from that time.

Me too Michal, it's pretty neat! Sometimes you dip right down into a creek crossing, and come steeply right back out, then twist into a tight corner. No chance to speed!
