Tok, AK (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: Just a tiny bit of breeze today, difficult to capture them before a very light puff of air would blow them away.

I'm looking forward to clearing skies and cooler temps, but we will loose these.

Thank you Dave, John, TIPUPTOWNUSA, Donna, Kevin, Peter, Charlotte and Larry! And THANK YOU approvers!

Peter it does take 'just right' conditions with temp and humidity to get these kinds of dendrite flakes, and at least where I live, it doesn't happen often.

Yes Larry, still using the black glass, though I WILL get a piece of plain glass cut, and try experimenting with colored lights. Soon, I hope!

Good job Katy! I see you are still using the black background. Snowflakes and lightning, both sure winners. Especially snowflakes as nice as these.

Wonderful photo, we had flakes like these when I was a boy, strangely we don't seem to get them anymore, or is it my eyesight?

Awesome capture,
we got about 4" of those nice fluffy flakes last night. I love it when I can clean snow from the walkways with the leaf blower.

It can be challenging to focus when there are layers and a few flakes 'on edge,' but it is such a delight when it works out!

Thanks for stopping by.
