I'm a little late in commenting but my husband and I are inside tonight looking at WU because we are too "cold" to sit outside with our glasses of wine. ( 54 F in San Diego county ) LOL! Such a beautiful photo! Congrats!

I've had my cameras out in -60 weather Betsy, and damage was only to me, heheh! My camera shop insists there will be NO damage to the camera, so I'll go with that.

There is no such thing as bad weather, only inadequate clothing! (preparation!)

Batteries probably don't last as long in that kind of cold, but my fingers (and toes, and cheeks!) are the 'barometer' that signals me it's time to go indoors.

WurzelDave clued me in to us a little stick to poke at the control buttons, rather than fat gloved fingers, much more accurate, and you don't have to take the gloves off so often.

Minus 23!! If you have to live in such cold it is wonderful that you can see the beauty, Katy.

How do you protect your hands & camera? Write me, or share here. I get so frustrated with taking my gloves on & off in the winter, and wonder how cold before damage to camera.

There must be a hundred shades of white in winter, and another hundred shades of blue.

Thank you for stopping by Donna and Anna, I really appreciate your visit.

Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
