Beautiful series, and this one is gorgeous. I love the look of this almost monochromatic scene, with the blue tinted, snow covered mountains rising up to touch the gray clouds and white sky.

Thank you so much for stopping by Kat, Randall, Heidrun, Julie, Wilma, Julia and Elaine!

Sure enough, winter has finally arrived in the Northland. A week or two later that average, but better late than never!

(I'll be talking out of the other side of my mouth in 5-6 months!)

Great shot, Katy!

We got our first dribble of rain last night
after 104 days.

Promises to be a very wet weekend with more
coming in the next week. YEAH!

Congratulations on your AC.

Ooooh, yes, I like this with that touch of color that tells me its not a black white image, but definitely nature's artistic palette. Kudos to you, Katy, and congratulations on this Blue Border.

Katy, I'm so glad you got this clear, sharp photo before the clouds obscured such a magnificent view! But, I'm also happy that there's snow dusting them already; it is that time of year, and I'm not missing the long, hot summer we had in so many parts of our great land. It's just brisk here this early morning, but no flakes flying for another month or so. This photo reminds me of a Bob Ross painting (remember him from television?), and that is a real compliment! Extremes of weather, elevation, daylight hours, isolation, flora and fauna, nothing in Nature is insignificant.I have a Davis Vantage Pro weather station, uploading to Wunderground, (Turks on the Tundra) the National Weather Service, the Citizen Weather Observation Program and MADIS (Meteorological Assimilation Data Ingest System).
