I had completely forgotten about today's eclipse and went in to Newmarket for coffee with friends. Outside the café there were staff and customers looking skyward. Naturally, I did the same thing. And was SO thankful that I had taken my camera with me to coffee.

Update: Congratulations on the AC!
Update: Congrats on the World View selection!
AC congrats!
It would have been great to be in Cairns.
I would have seen this:-
Well - it looks like WU and FB do not want to talk to each other. :-((
Congratulations!
I am pretty pleased too, Kt. With the next eclipse here not until 2028 this could well be my last. And it is the only solar one that I have managed to photograph.
I was lucky that Mother Nature set everything up just right for me.
What time of the day was this?
Marijke, it was 10:15a.m.
Sharon - that's a VERY good motto. I usually try to live by it.
Dave - so am I!!! :-)
GLAD you caught it John. I could kick myself for not trying to shoot our last eclipse AND it was a sunset one!
Always check World View photos. They're so uplifting and/or interesting. So glad to see another of your eclipse photos sitting at #1.
I plan to forward my family & friends these photos. (Kiwis in Mt. Maunganui among the friends.) It will be Thanksgiving soon in the USA, and I am thankful for www.wunderground.com Hope to upload some photos one of these days.
I find great pleasure and relaxation looking at photos on this website. Great information on weather as well.
Thank you for your contributions.
Cheers!
Eileen
