How long before this is covered in white? Is the path visible after the snows arrive? Can you still walk to the shore in winter?

The snow levels usually reach two to three feet back this close to the shore. It is beautiful, and you can go there on snow shoes, but it does finally become too difficult for me to get there when the temperatures drop to below zero and the winds come gusting in off the sea. Then I prefer to snuggle up inside with a cup of tea or hot chocolate and take photos of the wildlife as they walk or through our yard in in the woods near the cottage. The birds keep me busy because I feed them everyday. I love all seasons here in Maine, but I don't like to drive in deep snow or on ice. :))

Thank you so much, Biskitten!!! I hope to be able to post more again, and to comment on everyone's photos. I've been very busy helping my husband who has been ill.

About deepwoods
deepwoods Enjoy taking photos in the area of Downeast Maine where I live near the shore with my husband and our dog, Drzl, who is one half greyhound and one half rhodesian ridgeback. I am not a professional, I just shoot what looks cool or interesting to me. Thanks for looking!
