It is a wild rose and reseeds itself each spring. They don't bloom really until July or August though. You can make a tea out of them. It tastes kind of citrusy and is good for you. I'm glad you liked it, Tensie!!!

Hi Patty,
Have you ever dried these and then planted the seeds before? or is it a wild rose and thus does it all on its own? :)

About deepwoods

Enjoy taking photos in the area of Downeast Maine where I live near the shore with my husband and our dog, Drzl, who is one half greyhound and one half rhodesian ridgeback. I am not a professional, I just shoot what looks cool or interesting to me. Thanks for looking!
