Because of mold caused by being inundated with water for three weeks, residents have to gut homes and businesses down to the bare walls.

The people of Minot and the area have really suffered with the flooding. I hope you get some help with your clean-up, it looks monumental.

It will take years to recover from this and people up there will be living in FEMA trailers for the winter in some places.

They probably had that nasty damp musty smell you get with alot of mould. Does remind me of the floods i saw on the news a few years back when people in Tewksbury, Gloucester etc had the worst flooding on record. It took many months for those affected to return to their homes due to the damage.

Thanks for your comments on the flooding in Louisiana. I remember seeing this photo even though I did not comment. I am so very thankful that our house didn't flood when the dam up north had to have a controlled breached. So very sad to see flood waters go anywhere but especially where they are not even imagined they would go.
