Actually it isn't! My brother had one of his extra ones parked in the yard but we weren't expecting that kind of snow!

Kim, I know it's dry, down your way, so if you'd like a few loads, send some semis up. I'm sure I'd have no trouble to find someone to load them! The roads are finally starting to thaw off here after 29 and some sun. Hoping for more of that thawing!

#13 above... You are very much Welcome Brian. Glad I could share somewhat useful info. Have a great day.
We have full sunshine yesterday & today. not very warm, but warmer than the weekend, as Sunday nite it got down to +2, but the wind was vicious for a few days, with gusts of 30 to 40 mph. Temp right now at 1 PM is 50. Only a dusting of snow then, but good amounts on mtns in Northern NM.

Yup it is a little early! Considering last year, we didn't have this much snow the whole year! Thanks Gil, for the headsup on the quotation mark, I will try to remember that.

WOW, you sure got snow. It is amazing how narrow snow/rain bands can be in some storms.

Thanks Brian. I figured you had intended to say: 2" on your caption and cut you off.
I don't know much about programs, but I've heard and seen this happen before. Apparently a Quotation mark (") the program used here for the caption, interprets it as a stop, or an end, something like that. So don't use a double quote on the caption. You can use single quote (') & you be okay. You can use (") on the comments and apparently is ok. I don't understand it either!

Forgot to mention that Bismarck had a record rainfall for the date of .78 and a record snowfall of 9.1" for the same date- probably something that doesn't happen too often!

Looks like most of my caption is missing! Went from about 2" at noon to knee deep at 4:15- figuring about 17-18" of fluffy snow. No wind and many times you could see less than a block just because of snowfall. It was a narrow but long band of snow and it kept tracking right over us. Points 10 miles east or 7 miles west had considerably less accumulations. Guess that makes us "lucky"- just hoping for some global warming to melt much of it, so we don't have to put up with it until March! It was unusual for it to be such fluffy stuff given the temp was 26, usually at that temp we have wet heavy snow. At least it was good snow to blow and to shovel!
Thanks everyone for the comments!

Wowser Brian! You got a lotsa snow! How much? Looks like you got more than at Medora. I'm guessing close to 2 Ft.
Wonderful Winter photo. Congratulations on the VIP. Love it when we get a snowstorm like this here. It's been 3 or 4 years since we got a heavy snow like this.

From the small town of Martin, which is located in central North Dakota. I keep busy with commercial painting, grow small fruits and vegetables for sale, am the city assessor for Martin and I'm the new American Family Insurance agent in Harvey. Lots of stuff to learn in my new endeavor! One of my hobbies is taking pictures, which hopefully will dispel some misguided ideas that ND is a boring, flat, and always cold and snowy state!
