Actually, neither did I! I knew there were some in the trees but I didn't know there were that many until I put the photo on the computer and started counting. This is the last river to freeze up, so the last river with a salmon run, and about 4,000 eagles congregate in November for a final feed before winter.

Love the frozen mountain peaks behind the view, and WOW, did not at first notice all the birds in the foreground trees!!!
