You seem to have every variety of bird in the beautiful area in which you live. It would take my breath away to see this guy for real. Your photo has just about the same effect. Outstanding capture and context! Just an awesome shot, Steve, with lovely color. 10!

Very beautiful bird and excellent capture! Our kingfisher differs and despite the fact it resides near Burgas I never had the luck to spot one.

About backwardguy

My wife of 41 years and I live in Hermiston OR. on a 5 acre "farmette". I have been an elementary school teacher for the last 29years. I enjoy the outdoors and animals and I'm an avid (not a good) golfer. My wife and I take our motorcycles on long trips and our destinations are almost always the beautiful National parks in Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington, Utah, and last summer we added Arizona to the list. Photography has long been an interest of mine and many of my photos are taken on our little farmette, and on our motorcycle trips.
