North Bend, OR (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: I have been tent camping, and it had been raining... I had gone to visit a friend for a hot shower and to dry some towels. When I was on the way out of the drive way... This big guy was working voraciously at a huge log. I backed the truck up and shot some pics out the window. Since he did not leave, I parked and started shooting and closing in... He decided a meal of worm was more important than my proximity... That is until I took that one step too close! Thanks weathherwise for the interest.

How exciting and what a wonderful story!
They are like that....they don't seem to
mind humans at all when they are tending
to business! They never seem to mind me
watching and taking photos from a
distance! GREAT series!
