Alot of the time the images on the picture viewer of the camera should be taken with a pinch of salt!

Interesting... On mine, LV means you just lookit the rear screen vs TTL (through the lens). Ie, lets you tilt down the screen and hold the camera high overhead, as if at a concert, to see what you're (hopefully!) snapping a pic of.

I never trusted even the nicer screen on the D7k (vs my older D3k), because you just *gotta* see it on the 'puter screen to get a real look. I've had pix that when zoomed in look crappy, but ultimately came out nice, and looked great when zoomed in, but came out crappy.

LIVE view is a way of setting aspects of the image before you take it (dark or light, neutral or vivid, cool or warm).
