Sad - Only One Baby Left

Uploaded by: SunsetFL

Sunday May 27, 2012

Boynton Beach, FL (Current Weather Conditions)

Caption: There is only one young owl left. Nature can be baeutiful and yet can be cruel. Hawks, cats, dogs and non-stop rain have all impacted this burrow. Glad you all enjoyed the babies while we had the opportunity.

Nice shot. That is sad. They got all the baby herons high up in a tree in our yard last year. They didn't come back this year. Do see them flying in the neighborhood, though.

That's so sad Bev, but I guess it's just natures way. Nature can be very cruel sometimes. Anyway, I love this photo! :-)

Oh that is sad. Nature can be so cruel. We have no idea what it must be like to be out in the elements and viewed as a next meal. Thanks for sharing and hopefully this little fellow goes on to have a family too.

About SunsetFL

SunsetFL

People change and so do profiles. It was April 2004 that I started my photgraphy journey that started with posting pics of a family of owls. I didn't have a clue what depth of field, aperture, or manual mode were. But you folks and my husband encouraged me and we documented the owls until the last baby fledged and left home. Left with a huge hole in my time and a larger hole in my heart I started to photograph other birds, animals and of course sunrises and sunsets. Photography is absolutely my passion and birds in flight and nesting experiences are among my favorites.Create your own visitor map!
